Identification is an important means of information transmission. For example, for elements with traceability requirements, there must be unique identification to facilitate traceability. Identification of controlled objects can make the controlled state clear. Identification of samples


1 The identification of samples includes the identification of different samples and the identification of different detection states of samples.


2 The sample identification number can be attached to the sample or attached (written) to the sample package. The identification number shall be uniformly arranged by the sample receiving department.


3 The detection status of the sample shall be identified with the labels of "to be inspected", "under inspection", "inspected" and "retained sample.


4 Samples in different detection states, or sample receiving, preparation, circulation, storage and disposal stages, should be based on the sample.

1. The use of label or bar code identification system is not only to assign a unique number to the sample. The unique number of the sample can avoid confusion in the document. However, in order to avoid confusion in the physical object, it is also necessary to clearly identify the current status of the sample, such as: pending inspection, under inspection, inspection completed, etc. For samples to be tested in sequence, even information such as which pilot projects have been completed needs to be clearly identified.


2. If the test sample is small in size or the test environment is very harsh, the sample label or bar code cannot be pasted on the sample or the label falls off and is lost during the test, but these samples cannot be effectively identified, which will cause confusion.




For the above two problems, the recommended solutions are as follows:


1. If the sample volume of the laboratory is large enough, it is recommended to design a sample label that can hold more information. In addition to marking the sample number and basic information, the label can also leave space for the laboratory testing operator to mark the status of the sample in real time during the testing process, such as marking which testing items have been completed. If the above requirements cannot be met, it is recommended to establish a test history record table for each sample. The status of the sample can be clearly understood through the contents of the record table, that is, the label and the record table are combined as the identification system of the sample.


2. If the sample volume is too small or the test environment is harsh to effectively identify, it is recommended to establish a sample distribution table and a sample detection history record table as the sample identification system. The sample distribution table is a record table established to correspond the sample number to the sample. Generally, even the smaller sample will have a corresponding and unique product number when it is produced, the table established by matching the product number with the number in the test process is the sample distribution table. If the sample has no product number and is particularly small in volume, then laboratory personnel can flexibly and uniquely identify the sample in possible space, and then the distribution table is established correspondingly between the identification and the number in the laboratory test process, at the same time, the sample identification system is established in combination with the above-mentioned sample detection history table, so as to avoid the confusion of the physical object.


In order to make the samples in the receiving, processing, storage, testing and other aspects of the summary, to maintain its integrity, to prevent different samples and different testing state samples do not have the phenomenon of confusion, and to protect the interests of the laboratory, the testing laboratory needs to strengthen the management of sample identification.
